BOA 2020 COVID 19 Safety Plan Header.png

Here are some of the main points of the Battle of Atlanta COVID-19 Safety Plan:

  • All attendees are responsible to know whether or not their home state requires a mandatory quarantine after traveling to the State of Georgia. (These requirements are subject to change, so participants should follow their state requirements).

  • Required COVID-19 Waiver of Liability by all attendees.

  • Face masks are required for everyone. Competitors may only remove masks during ACTIVE competition only. This is being asked of us by the hotel and out of respect for all attendees.

  • IF POSSIBLE - PRE-REGISTER by SEPTEMBER 2!  We are not “requiring” everyone to pre-register, but we are “strongly recommending” it to minimize the amount of interaction at registration. If we can get as many attendees as possible to register before WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, we can pre-fill all registration orders and minimize the exchange of cash or cards.

  • Designated entry and exit points to ballrooms.

  • A staggered schedule with multiple sessions each day to minimize the number of individuals per room. (No sessions will begin BEFORE the posted start times).

  • Spectators will be seated/grouped in pods of four (4) with a limited number of individuals per pod.

  • Spectator seating pods will be spaced 6' apart.

  • During each session, only the competitors and spectators assigned to that session will be permitted within the ballroom(s).

  • Only 1 coach per team (individual) will be permitted in the competition area during sparring competitions and must have visible and verified credentials.

  • Mats cleaned and rooms emptied of participants between sessions.

  • Hand Sanitizing stations.

  • Daily check in with temperature checks at event entrance points.

  • No forms introductions if 6' of social distancing cannot be maintained.

  • No shared use of equipment (sparring gear, elbow pads, etc).

  • COVID-19 daily checklist (posted throughout the venue).
