In 2012, Truth Entertainment purchased the Battle of Atlanta World Karate Championships from the tournament founder, Grand Master Joe Corley. Greg Ruth became the promoter of the 44th Battle of Atlanta, and the event was moved from downtown Atlanta to the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Centre just along the I-285 perimeter.
